This one requires you to build two businesses of each type in Cayman. This one is far more brutal than the rest. The extra money will be very helpful and slow down the total time it takes to finish this campaign. Once you get the license build the warehouse and two residences, you can build some extra residences if you have the cash as you will need them later anyway.ĭuring this time it is also wise to build more production facilities in Port Royale. Once you get the prosperity you will need to pay the Architect for a license to build residences and warehouses in Cayman (which is the task). You will need to select some very far away from each other ports so that you don't get too many of the same type. By supplying this you will gain a massive reputation increase.Ī final method is to setup trade routes around Cayman and other islands in which you select the "Prosperity" option. Cayman builds tools so they will always require Metals.Īs well an icon will appear on Cayman indicating what they have a high demand for. To do this you will have to supply what they are missing. This build mission starts off with having to get your reputation in Cayman up. This is done by hitting a box that reads "Activate Trade Route." Task is complete once you Activate this trade route. As well you will want to drop off the rum and all of the ports in the trade route. You will want to purchase wood and sugar from any place that can make them and drop them at your storehouse in Port Royale. You can move this to a third icon, a building. ![]() Once in the customization screen you need to familiarize yourself with controls.Īt the top right corner is a tab with a picture of a building with a palm tree, an arrow in a direction and the ship. With this you will want to setup a trade route to support your Rum Distillery. With my strategy you can pick specifically how they react. With prosperity they always buy and only sell when it's needed. ![]() With profit they will only buy when it is cheap and sell when it's valuable. Alternatively you can choose Profit or Prosperity. Once they are picked change to "My Strategy." This will allow you to customize your stops. Select the five stops (don't add any other ones). This will allow you to click on the stops. With your convoy selected click on the Bag icon. If you don' have a free one you'll need to buy a new ship from the harbor. In order to do this you need to select on a convoy. You can also build special structures with that DLC like an embassy to have a country send its treasure fleet to that town to pick up goods for the Old World. In this task you will have to setup a trade route between Port Royale, Cayman, Nombre de Dios, Havana, and Gibara. In either case, if you placed your own governor or peacefully taken over, your flag flies over the town instead of the countries (you're technically administrator for the town even though you control everything in the town now) and you can manage the town (build buildings, embezzel funds, and now with the latest Harbour Master DLC, you can now pay to up the defenses and your fleets in harbor will automatically defend against attack (assuming they're set up as warships of course). If you win, you're prompted to place your own governor or a governor for a specific country/power. The town attack itself is like attacking a pirate haven (your men + handheld weapons vs their men + handheld weapons). The emplacements basically cannon your ships while you do the same with your ships, similar to ship-to-ship but without moving. Then you've got to destroy any emplacements (again, if the town has any) then you can attack the city itself. You'll have to sink any fleets in harbor that are tied to the country in question (warships, not traders), if there are any. Send a fleet in the with the conquest checkbox checked in the fleet screen and it'll ask if you want to attack (showing you the stats for the town's defense). Also, the country can't have less than 5 towns (game doesn't let you wipe out a country).įorceful is the good old fashioned pirate-like town conquest. If you're eligible to take it over, you'll get the option (it just lists the first town that meets the criteria, you can't really pick). You visit the Viceroy for the country in question (find the "capitol" town and go to the manor/palace) to initiate it and to also check the criteria. ![]() Peaceful takeovers require you to meet certain criteria (90% rep with country in question, 75% of business in the town owned by you, local popularity/rep 90%, and prosperity or better status for the town.might be one I missed). However, when you actually DO take towns (peacefully or forcefully), you are usually given the option to raise your own flag or the flag of another country (kinda like Pirates!). Well, technically you pick a country at the start of the game.
